Last March I had a really bad case of heart burn which I never have. It kept me awake a whole night. I called my doctor the next morning. He was on vacation but his nurse insisted that I go to Eden Hill Medical Center. I was diagnosed with gastritis but the doctor said he wanted to do a chest xray to make sure everything was ok with my heart. My heart was fine but he saw a spot on my right lung. This was completely unrelated to the heart burn. Long story short I was diagnosed with non smokers lung cancer. The early detection saved my life. 2 months longer, it would have been a different story. They removed 40% of my right lung in May and all lymph nodes. No radiation or chemo needed. I have a clean bill of health. I feel like a walking miracle…..But God…
